The formal cuisine of the warrior-class was developed in the late 16th century, about the same age as the establishment of our house. As the most orthodox, ceremonial banquet, the ceremonious serving of three courses of foods used to last a whole day. On August 8th in 1996, the present owner of the house modified Honzen-ryori to meet the needs of today’s customers. The Honzen-ryori served at Heihachi Tea House Inn comprises main tray, second tray, third tray, fourth tray, fifth tray, green tea and desserts. You can enjoy a total of 23 dishes served under candle light for two and half hours, which brings you back as if you were in old days. |
