The oldest type of sauna bath in Japan dating back to Emperor Temmu (late 7th c.), who was said to have cured arrow wound by bathing Kamaburo. The photo on the right is a restored Kamaburo; The photo on the left is the Kamaburo at our house. The temperature inside the Kamaburo is set around 60 degrees C. or 140 degrees F.
